April 26, 2018 — Garden City, Long Island , NY) The fly-fishing department at KastKing, a division of Eposeidon, Inc. in New York, USA has come out with a revolutionary new soloscopic travel fly rod – the Ascension. KastKing’s Ascension fly-fishing rods can be completely collapsed without untying one’s fly fishing knots or removing the fly.

KastKing Ascension Fly Rods are designed to fish like a traditional four-piece, high performance fly rod but with the advantage of easy assembly and travel because of its Soloscopic design. KastKing built the rod’s with medium fast action and utilized lightweight, yet powerful 24 million modulus graphite. They feature an aluminum reel seat and AAA cork handles. The Ascension fly combo includes a lightweight travel case.

A combination of fixed and floating guides allows the Ascension Fly Rod to collapse to only 27″ in a matter of seconds and then extend again to its full 9′ performance length without ever having to remove flies, fly line or take the sections apart.

Included in the KastKing Ascension Combo is a CNC 6061 aircraft aluminum fly reel with disc drag that is pre-loaded with KastKing BackKast fly line backing, KastKing Propel WF floating fly line and KastKing’s Rubicon tapered leader.

Ascension fly combos are available in both a 9′ for 5 wt and a 9′ for 8 wt model to cover many fly-fishing situations in both fresh and saltwater.

“In my mind, fly-fishing has just changed forever with the introduction of the new KastKing Ascension Soloscopic Fly Rods” says Al Noraker, Product Development Director at KastKing and the designer of the Soloscopic Ascension rods. “For years, four-piece rods have been the standard for performance, travel and storage, but that has now changed. The Ascension rod now gives the anglers all the performance of a traditional four-piece rod but the advantage of not having to disassemble the rod for travel or storage. You can leave reels in place, line through the guides and even flies attached to leaders when collapsing the rod into its travel position. When you’re ready to fish again, it takes only seconds to extend the already rigged rod into its full performance length and you’re ready to go.”

The KastKing Soloscopic Ascension Fly Rod has an on-line retail selling price of $99.988 for the rod alone and $149.98 for the rod and reel combo. KastKing will initially market them through their Amazon.com storefront. KastKing rods and reels are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
